The woman I love has always been off-limits. She was my best friend’s fiancée… and now my new roommate.

I thought I was used to pain. Harper dated my best friend for years, and I was going to be the best man at their wedding. Until she blows up the engagement and shows up in London with a new job.

Being friends never worked for me. That’s why I moved away. But here I am, unable to resist her again. And when I see the tiny, unsafe apartment she’s renting? I insist she move into my giant Kensington townhouse. Roommates. Should be fine.

Or not. Because I find Harper’s “thirty things by thirty” list and decide to help her fulfill it. Showing her around London, taking her on trips, sleeping in the same bed… helping her explore things her ex was never interested in.

But it doesn’t matter how close we get, because Harper is newly single, unimpressed by my wealth, and doesn’t know I’m love with her. One wrong move and I might ruin this relationship forever.

Excellent read, I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Most of the book is completely engaging. Lovely read. Absolutely love Nate, although real hard to find in reality

A good storyline, Starts with Dean and friend Nate in a bar when Nate notices a girl on her own, he can’t take his eyes off her. Dean ends up talking to Harper in front of Nate. Then it jumps to London where she left Dean just before their scheduled wedding to intern at an art gallery. Nate transferred to his Company’s business in London. He walks in the Art Gallery and sees Harper, he takes her to a cafe to catch up. He has loved Harper since he saw her in the bar 4 years previously. This is the start of their “friendship”. A very romantic story, she has a bucket list that he accidentally sees when it falls out of her pocket so he helps her to attain some of the things listed, that was interesting and funny. Dean was constantly ringing her and annoying her and didn’t know his friend was seeing her. There is loads more to the story which is very long, but worth the read.

I liked this series of three books, even if I think that the female character of this book here is the weakest of the three; in return, the male one is very powerful.Maybe the higher page count allowed the author to take more time to develop the story and share the emotional part of the characters. The result is an engaging storyline, believable journey and authentic dialogues.

Going into this, I really didn’t know what to expect. Of course I liked Nate from his appearances in the previous 2 books but didn’t know much about him other than him being a supportive brother. This book made me fall in love with him!Nate’s easily become one of my favourite MMCs I’ve ever read about. Seriously a billionaire MMC that’s kind, caring, and empathetic? 😍I loved the way Nate supported Harper and helped her flourish while never pressuring or burdening her with his feelings. The slow burn of their relationship developing into friendship and then more was a beautiful journey. They were so perfect together! 🥹Hands down my favourite book of the series! 💜

    Favorite out of the series
Oh how I loved Nate 🥰. What woman doesn’t love the way Nate loves? This was my favorite one. Loved the way the characters were brought together. The slow burn until the final kiss was so good. Also the spice in this one was 🔥🥵. I couldn’t put the book down cuz I wanted to know what happened. Finished the book in about 2-3 days. I kept thinking about the book once I was done. So sad that all good things come to an end. Definitely recommend!

So loved the MMC don’t have much to say but swoon! Now the MFC idk 🤷‍♀️ she acted as though something absolutely horrible happened to her and i didn’t get that. She just annoyed me at times with her dumb comments. It’s a good one but missing that extra something to be great.

Read it ! Read it! yes Read it !
I could not put this book down. It was everything. The slow burn was so good. The pace was phenomenal and I was so excited for Harper. I feel her on a personal level. Wanting to try out things and not be forced to go along with other peoples decisions. It was such a realistic lesson.I adored Nate. He is truly a gem and I believe that he was written to really show that people in this world deserve happiness. He stayed through and through and never gave up. It was was magical.I didn’t read the other books yet but after this one, I’m for sure going to read more of Hayle’s work. Please read this book! I could not stop smiling at all. So good.

    Call abuse what it is
I love Olivia Hayle’s work. I own all her books. This one is just as well written as the rest. The thing that’s really bothering me though is the FMC’s ex financially and emotionally abused her and it’s only called out as abuse once in the book and quickly moved on from. The rest of the time it’s referred to as manipulation. It makes total sense that the FMC wants to stand up to her ex and gain strength and independence. It makes sense that her first reaction is a freak out when she thinks she might be in a similar situation. She’s recently out of an abusive situation and hasn’t had time to fully process. What I’m having a hard time reconciling is if the ex was physically abusive no one would think anything of anyone taking away an abuser’s means of abuse. So why should financial and emotional abuse be different? I feel like this does a disservice to others in this situation.

One of the best by Hayle. Sweet Spring in London
Even though this is the third book of the Connovan Chronicles, it can be read as a stand alone. Taking place in London gives this book a very nice change from other books by the same author. Though both Nate and Hadie are American, they find their love story in London after she escapes an engagement from none other than Nate’s best friend. This book has art, a sense of adventure, some high-end accomodations and cars, because you know, billionaire. But it was the overall impression of the characters who were both sweet and caring, and their journeys to and with each other that was done well and a pleasure to read. A sweet spring read for sure!

    Stunning!
I absolutely loved the whole series and this last book is true perfection! Nate and Harper’s journey is so beautifully written filled with so many tender and special moments that show us how wonderful Nate is, how selfless, patient and devoted he can be , giving Harper the time and space she needs to heal, helping her to find the confidence she had lost and become her true self and whole once again. A MUST read!!!
