This book gave me all the cozy, warm feelings inside.In this story, we follow Reese and Dawson, who have one of those meet-cutes you only see in movies. She was running and hiding from a disastrous date when he swooped in to save the day, and from there, sparks flew everywhere.Reese is a down-to-earth person with an enormous heart, while Dawson is pragmatic and doesn’t have time for people’s nonsense. I loved how they balanced each other so perfectly.Reese is the kind of person who usually avoids confrontation and keeps her thoughts to herself, but with Dawson, she could let that side go and wasnât afraid to give him a piece of her mind.Dawson, on the other hand, is used to keeping people at arm’s length, even though he cares about them. He avoids labeling his relationships, even simple friendships. But with Reese, he allowed himself to feel and explore his feelings for her.I loved the banter and chemistry between them. Every scene was charged with tension. They always talked things through, even when Dawson struggled to let go of control. The small moments and gestures between them were perfect.This is a fast-paced book, ideal for a cozy afternoon on the couch and fans of rom-coms. Even though it moves quickly, it didnât feel rushed; it felt just right. This is one of those reads that will leave you with a smile and the comforting sense that everything is right in the world.

I love, love, loved this book! I really enjoy Ann Einerson’s writing style and just feel so engrossed in the world she creates in her books. This is definitely my new favourite book of hers.Reese is fleeing the worst date in history when she takes refuge in the only open shop, Steel & Ink tattoo parlor. Inside she meets a hot but grumpy tattoo artist. They share a kiss and then go their separate ways. Fast forward three months and Reese is a week into a new job as a paralegal at a top law firm when she discovers one of the managing partners is none other than the mysterious tattoo artist.I adored Reese and Dawson! I really enjoyed their backstories, and they had fantastic chemistry. Despite the fact that this book was a novella, I felt that it did a fantastic job of creating multi-dimensional, relatable characters.When You Give A Lawyer A Kiss is a standalone, but runs adjacent to author’s Aspen Grove series. You don’t have to have read the Aspen Grove books first, but it was so fun getting a few glimpses of characters that I already knew and loved. The only negative thing I can say about this book is that it has made me even more impatient for the next book in the Aspen Grove series!This book ticked so many boxes for me and if you are a fan of the following tropes, you should definitely check it out:* Billionaire* Workplace romance* Age Gap* He falls first* Forced proximity

Firstly, Iâd like to say thank you to @authoranneinerson for giving me the opportunity to arc read, truly appreciate it! ð«¶ð»ð«¶ð»This novella was so beautifully well written that I devoured it in less than a day day ð this book was just so ridiculously cute and a joy to read â¨Reese is an independent, resilient and hard working woman who progressively learns to embrace her confidence and stand up for herself, and I lobe that for her ð§¡â¨Dawson is a grumpy lawyer whoâs mysterious on the outside but such a kind and caring man on the inside. Words canât even do this man justice, heâs just so considerate, generous and thoughtful, always there for Reese when sheâs at her lowest and itâs honestly so adorable ð¥¹This book was an instant 5 stars and I would definitely recommend it ð¤ itâs the perfect book to read during the fall/autumn season. ððð¥®

I’m in love with Ann’s books and we finally get to know the story of Dawson, the lawyer who had done some favors for the Stafford brothers.Dawson is a handsome, grumpy, workaholic lawyer who works as a tattoo artist and Reese is the young, kindhearted paralegal. They have a chance encounter and now they can’t stop thinking about each other and not only that but now after their encounter they see each other again and he is her new boss.It’s a quick and enjoyable short novel that had me rooting for Dawson and Resse from the start. If you love workplace romances with strong, caring protagonists and fall vibes, you should definitely read this one.

Tate Dawson falls hard & fast and I am here for it!
After getting a glimpse of Tate Dawson in If You Give a Billionaire a Bride, I knew he’d make such a great MMC but his story was so surprisingly different than what I pictured (in the best ways!). Ann Einerson creates such dynamic characters in such a short time frame. Romantic gestures for the win
Thinking about a chance encounter with a man for 3 months only to find out heâs your boss, what would you do? Well for a man like Dawson I would fall head over heels just like Reese. I didnât think it was possible but this quickly became my favorite in the Aspen Grove series. I also want a new tattoo now. But in all seriousness this is a short and sweet read. Reese and Dawson are adore and I love how they keep each other in their toes, they balance each other out. Anne Einerson did a wonderful job of showcasing different types of childhoods and alternative families and how that can truly impact lives and futures. I am a huge fan of Dawson show of care. He may have not known what it was but long before he thought the words his romantic gestures were his way of showing his love and heart to Reese. Want some new ink then you are in the right place, this story will tattoo your heart.

Hallmark after dark!
I really enjoyed the first two books in this series. They give off Hallmark after dark vibes and I love them. This novella is no different. The cover is adorable and it definitely feels like a cozy read, perfect for the start of fall. Reese and Dawson have the most adorable meet cute. Then of course a few months later she finds herself working at his law firm. These two did a horrible job of keeping any sort of professional boundaries. Dawson was especially guilty of this. He was giving her all kinds of special treatment. As the guy and person in position of power, Dawson had the freedom to behave this way. I think Reese was relatively realistic in the beginning about not getting involved with her boss, not wanting to start rumors, not wanting to ruin her own lawyer dreams. Even though Dawson was throwing all professionalism out the door, he was so cute in the way he cared about Reese. Heâs constantly making sure sheâs eating, making sure her and the other paralegals are treated and paid fairly, he blocks off her lunch just so she has time to study for the LSAT! I mean the guy was smitten from day one. I will say, all of these books seem to be big on age gaps which are not really my jam. A girl in her early twenties has very little in common with a guy in his mid thirties. But this is fiction so I let it slide 😉 I was so annoyed with Dawson when he started throwing his money around and making decisions for Reese. Iâm glad she was able to stand up for himself and that his mom basically told him to knock it off. Like the other books, this book has just enough steam sprinkled throughout it. The scene in the last chapter was a fave of mine 🙂 I also loved how Dawson not only ended up loving Reese, but also Noah and her grams, the two people closest to her. His secret grand gesture?! ADORABLE. My main complaint with this novella and really most novellas I read is that itâs too short. I always finish a novella feeling like it couldâve been just a smidge better if they had more time to develop their relationship. That being said, this novella gave what it needed to. It was short, cute, and perfect for the start of fall. It also did a great job at setting up the next book. I am DYING to see Harrison and Fallon together. Thank you to the author for my advance reader copy of this book. I am leaving this review voluntarily. It was a great way to start my fall season.

A perfect workplace romance
As usual, Ann Einerson has given us a sweet, swoony, and steamy book! It’s sort of a more of a novella, but is no less entertaining and so fun and cute and hot as well. Reese goes on a date which quickly turns sour and she runs away from the bad date, only to find herself in a tattoo shop that’s already closed. Dawson (or should I say Cole) owns the tattoo shop and finds her, offering her solace, but also is a grump. They quickly notice they have chemistry and share a kiss, but then Reese leaves and she thinks she will never see this guy again. Turns out, she is his new intern at his law office! Dawson falls HARD for Reese and is asbolutely head over heels for her, despite the fact that they work together and aren’t supposed to fraternizing. I loved their chemistry and how Dawson went above and beyond for her, and showed that he is not as grumpy or cold hearted as one might believe. I really can’t wait for the next book in Aspen Grove!
