“First thoughts, I need more… more of everything. This felt like such a tease I literally could not put this down start to finish in less than two hours, would have been less if I didn’t have other obligations.” – @cmyk.bibliophile on Instagram

Barbara “Bunny” Townsend is a gifted student, dedicated athlete, trauma survivor…

And now, helpless prey.

Her world is turned upside down when she finds herself in a living nightmare, taken captive by a sociopathic man. Follow Bunny as she attempts to find her way to freedom. In the meantime, her captor has plans for her that will leave your jaw, and panties, dropping.

Run, Rabbit, Run contains explicit and sometimes upsetting scenes that may be upsetting for some audiences. Reader discretion is advised, as is checking the author’s website for more information on her work.

I flew through this book, Bunny and Demetrius had me from the start. The exploration of the characters, submission and defiance, dom and aftercare were well written. I did not expect the end at all. It is refreshing to see a book deal with this theme, and I thought it was well tackled.

I am obsessed with Juniper Hartmann’s writing style and this entire book. With its addictingly fast-paced story, I couldn’t put this down! With a captor that is surprisingly soft, an assistant made for comedic relief, and hauntingly steamy scenes, Run, Rabbit, Run will have your jaw on the floor, begging for more.

The Ending Had Me in Tears
This is an absolutely perfect representation of BDSM. In the beginning, I wasn’t sure how it was going to play out, because I definitely got more erotic horror vibes. But I read it in one sitting and got so absorbed in the story that the ending completely shocked me even though I was told to expect it. Flawlessly done and I cannot wait for the next one.

Reads as fast as a rabbit runs
Even when you force yourself to put the book down to do responsible adult ish, it pulls you back in. Then, the twist… It definitely touches on the psychological and you really start looking at yourself in a different light. A couple editing issues, but that happens and none of them ruined the story. Very entertaining.

Don’t my star rating and dramatic rant fool you! Just read it I promise!!!
This book was…. uhm…. well…. it pissed me off! The entire time I was thinking, “if only he’d asked her!” Then I get to the end and I had to laugh at myself lol. It was a solid 3 star read. For me I wish we would’ve gotten a little more back story on both Bunny and Demetrius. Although, that probably would’ve given some stuff away. I was confused through out the entire story as to HOW we got to where we were. It all makes sense in the end but it was upsetting for me with wanting certain things to happen, wanting more of a fight from Bunny, thinking she was acting like a helpless woman child. Now knowing what I know from the ending of the book and that another book is on the way and a lot of my questions will be answered in it, I’m excited to continue with the story and the characters. There were a few words that I have never seen used the way that they were. So I had to look that up but all in all it’s definitely worth taking a peek at if you’re into BDSM. Even if you’re just curious. This book shines a light on the importance of aftercare over and over again which I love!

Heart-pounding and spicy to the max!
Lovers of spice with a penchant for a merciless pace, this one’s for you! Never has a book grabbed me by the hair and yanked me into its lair quite like Run Rabbit Run. I was so enthralled by author Juniper Hartmann’s debut novel that I finished it in one day. A powerful and spicy non-con story with a massive plot twist, Run Rabbit Run reminds readers that sometimes new growth cannot be brought to light unless its protective shell is destroyed. The novel begins when the enigmatic Demetrius forces our protagonist, Bunny, to run through the forest for her life purely for the pleasure of the hunt. Throughout the book Demetrius deals out hope only to snatch it back. He’s determined to break Bunny through a series of humiliating- and titillating- games. The pain and pleasure Demetrius doles out tears Bunny apart in the most delicious and cathartic of ways. Even though much of the novel raised burning questions with no apparent answer, by the conclusion I was immensely satisfied. There were several sections meant to instruct the reader about trauma and healing that plucked me out of the otherwise immersive reading experience. I felt these sections were worded too precisely for Bunny, a character who usually speaks in a sharp style that packs a punch instead of choosing the correct and clinical words to convey her lived experiences. She’s refreshingly frank and makes no bones about prioritizing her survival over all else. For the majority of the book. Bunny does an amazing job of showing rather than telling. This small critique aside, Hartmann is a dynamo of the dark romance genre and kept my heart in my throat throughout just like a rabbit on the run.

    Absolute Perfection 🤭😎
Oh my Gawd 😫🔥 This book took me on a whole journey. One of the hotÅ¥est books I’ve ever read and I’m not even lying 😫 Demetrius had me gasping for air, giggling, kicking my feet and also crying. I was cheering Bunny on to find her happiness and her happily ever after so much ❤ I love these two with all my soul and their journeyDemetrius has to be one of the most hottest MMC’s I’ve ever read. He made me blush and fan myself because Gawd was this man everything. He’s intense, seductive but also caring. He’s Bunny’s captor but he has a soft side only when it comes to her. It was so wholesome to see and brought me to tears many times. Bunny is sassy and brave, she made me laugh so many times with her witty remarks and comments 🤭 I loved how the theme of BDŚM was explored as well as mental health. This shone a bright light on BĎSM and gave a whole new perspective to its positives ❤ I’m so grateful to Juniper for doing so 😫❤️The writing was absolutely brilliant and makes you feel as if you are there in the story with them, living through it all 🔥 it makes everything 100x hottèr and more intense. I absolutely loved and appreciated that. I’m finding myself rereading them countless times and I have no regrets 😌😏 I cannot express enough how much I loved this book and that plot twist ties everything up perfectly 😫🔥Juniper you are a Queen! I cannot wait to read more beauties from you 😍❤️ You have a fan for life ❤️I cannot wait for what else you have 🤭😏Please read the trigger warnings before diving in ❤ It is a pitçh bĺack story
