Thin plastic on one side
I’m returning this item but I ought to let you know that one side of this laminate is per spec but the other was super thin. I don’t think the laminated piece will last longer than a month if you plan to keep it in your wallet

Great size with a 1/2 inch extra on each side to better fit true 4×6 pics or docs. Easy to use once you look up how (include instructions!), but a little thick. 5 mil would probably be sufficient.
