A dark and spicy shifter fantasy romance duet in the Wall Street Journal Bestselling Deliciously Dark Fairytales world.

Of all the people in the world, why her?

It was supposed to be easy: find the drug maker. Find her, and drag her back to the dragons to deal with. She deserves death for what she’s done.

For someone like Weston, the best alpha in the world, the one who shuts people up just by walking in the room, it would’ve been.

Until he learns what she is…

Finding a fated mate is nearly impossible. Very few are able to do it. But the call of their bond is unmistakable. Against all odds, and in the worst situation imaginable, he’s found his true mate. Her.

Worse? She doesn’t seem to realize what she is. Her animal is suppressed. Locked away, leaving her nearly without magic. She doesn’t know what the feeling is, and she doesn’t care. She claims innocence. She thinks he’s the villain in this story, and she aims to kill him before he destroys her.

It doesn’t change his duty. He must bring her in, nature be damned. Regardless of how much it hurts, he’ll resist the sweet taste of her lips and the heaven between her thighs. She must pay for what she’s done.

He just hopes he doesn’t die inside for the part he’s forced to play in the destruction of his true mate.

I loved this book. I love all KF Breene books to be fair. They are so well written with the best type of humour. This book does have darker themes, but Hadriel is there to give us that hilarious wit of his.The story really pulled me in and I had a very hard time putting it down.On to book 2 -A Cage of Kingdoms…. another 2 days of ignoring everyone and everything 😂

I was truly honoured to have received an ARC copy of A Cage of Crimson, the 5th installment of the Deliciouky Dark Fairytales series by @kfbreene .While this story is set after that of the first 4, it is also a standalone. It can be read without having read the first books. This story is a dark retelling of little red riding hood. It’s spicy, humorous and down right tantalising.Aurelia’s story is that of a girl from a broken home, believed to be magicless and taken in by Granny. She becomes the drug creator in Granny’s operation and is taken prisoner by the pack for her role is creating such horrendous products.Weston, the alpha, is delicious and I wish I had an alpha wolf of my very own! He is on the hunt to bring down Granny’s business but never imagined that he would find his true mate in the drugs creator. The journey they take to unravel the truth and take Aurelia to her judgment, will leave you crying, laughing and longing to meet the alpha. Hadreil makes an appearance in this story as well and you won’t realise how much you missed his colourful, dick covered clothes. With this enemies to lovers, forced proximity, touch her and die vibes, and utterly tantalising experience and that cliffhanger of an ending, it will leave you wanting more. Definitely full of spice (straight up in chapter 2 🫠)You need to get your hands on ACOC 😉now! You won’t regret it ❤️

    What Big Eyes You Have
I love K.F. Breene- she develops the worlds, she brings the characters to life and WOW. This rather spicy retelling of a Little Red Riding Hood tale is a joy to read. In this tale the lines are blurred. Who is the villain? The wolf, Granny or Red. Maybe all of them. Then the biggest question of all – who is Red? Where does she come from and why is she so loyal to Granny? Then the Wolf – is he disguised in sheep’s clothing or is he as ruthless and controlling as they say. Can he control Red? I’d like to say that this book answers all these questions but not a chance! We’ll have to wait for book two! I hope it comes out soon.

A wild, dark, and spicy Red Riding Hood retelling
✨ARC REVIEW✨In A Cage of Crimson, we meet Aurelia, a magicless shifter who has been isolated from the outside world. The products she creates for Granny helps provide for her village. Never did she think they caused the harm she’s now being accused of by Weston, a powerful alpha whose has been charged to make her answer for her crimes.Tropes:👀 Multi POV⚠️ Enemies to lovers🫂 Forced proximity🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Found family🚫 “Who did this”?🪢 Hate lovin🐺 Shifters🌶️: moderate to highI love Aurelia. She is incredibly resilient, brilliant, and sassy. She’s never felt accepted or loved and slowly begins to learn of the truths kept from her. Weston is dutiful but feels conflicted because of his connection to her. Will she be his downfall? While I have not yet read the Ruin series, I am absolutely smitten with Hadriel and I’m looking forward to reading them and meeting these other supportive charactersA Cage of Crimson is a Red Riding Hood retelling that’s wild, dark, and spicy. If you love enemies to lovers, “who did this to you”/touch her & 💀, hate lovin’/primal play, look no further! The cliffhanger ending had me thanking my lucky stars that I can start A Cage of Kingdoms immediately. Huge thanks to the author and BookSprout for this review copy. This is my honest and voluntary review

This book is a journey; hang on for the ride.
Before you start reading, please check the trigger warnings. Some of the subject matter gets dark and could be triggering. Your mental health matters.A Cage of Crimson is Alpha wolf Weston and Aurelia’s story. It’s set in the same world as Deliciously Dark Fairytales, but it is book 1 of a standalone duet. We met Weston in the 3rd DDF book, A Kingdom of Ruin. You don’t need to have read those books in order to read and enjoy ACOC 😉, but I would suggest you do because they are absolutely phenomenal and you get to spend more time with some of these amazing characters, especially our favorite mediocre butler Hadriel.Weston is on assignment from the Dragon King and Queen to find a substance maker because these substances are wreaking havoc in the kingdoms. In the process, he finds his true mate, Aurelia. Aurelia is suppressed and doesn’t have magic, but she is strong and she is a survivor. Weston is immediately drawn to her – so much so that it heats up in chapter 2… IJS. Anyway, once Weston realizes his true mate creates the substances, the rug is pulled out from underneath him. Finding a true mate is rare, but Weston is a man of honor and duty, so he knows what he must do, no matter the personal cost to him. Watching them struggle together, knowing their circumstances, but unable to deny the pull of the mate bond, is 🔥🥵! Tropes:✨ Dark and spicy romantasy✨ Not too triggering for dark romance✨ Enemies to hate effing to lovers✨ Førced proximity✨ One bed/horse/tent✨ Kn🪢tting✨ Dőminant alpha✨ Smart, sassy FMC✨ True mates (but she doesn’t know)✨ Extra spice, but with plot✨ Prįmal play✨ Touch her and ☠️✨ Banter✨ Fairytale retelling for adults✨ Wolf shifters✨ Abűse recovery✨ Hilarious side charactersTheir journey is heartbreaking, sweet, terrifying, tragic, and hilarious… and so many other words. K.F. Breene knows how to entrance readers and she writes in such a way that makes it easy to lose yourself in the story. These are the kind of characters that live in your head rent free. This story is phenomenal and I cannot wait until book 2 comes out. So seriously, go grab yourself ACOC and join in the debauchery. You won’t regret it. Cheers!

Can’t get enough KF Breene or her shifters!!
Hot, overbearing Alpha – ✔️Kn0tting – ✔️Spice – ✔️ ✅️ ✔️Awesome storyline – ✔️ACOC is officially my new favorite shifter series. I do love shifter books, but I feel like they can become a bit repetitive. But no, not this one! KF Breene is a master at creating unique, complex characters and telling a story I can’t get enough of! Not only is the spice out of this world (and quick to start), but the story is completely engrossing. The MMC Alpha (Weston) is delicious and intriguing. The FMC (Aurelia) was strong and resilient. Move this to the top of your TBR – you will not be disappointed!
