They shouldn’t want me.
I rejected them and ran…and I’ll find a way to escape again.

I grew up knowing three important facts.
One, my parents hated Nexus shifters.
Two, I was taught everyone should be scared of me, and they should be.
Three, I’m a monster.

I’m a Nexus, a powerful shifter bonded to five other souls…only I rejected them all at the mating ceremony and ran away with my parents when I was fifteen.

After five years on the run, I’ve finally been found. My Nexus mates dragged me back to the biggest pack community in the mountains of Scotland, making sure I follow each of their rules and never letting me out of their sight while they torment me for breaking the bond.

Onyx, with his charming smiles and pretty suits, hides the true alpha lurking within.

Aleksander, with his unforgettable hazel eyes and deadly secrets, wants to ruin me.

The twins, Hollis and Rhodes, who capture ladies’ hearts like it’s an art form. One wants to break mine in the name of revenge.

And finally, Finnegan. He is the biggest threat to the Nexus shifter race, and he hates me the most.

They are dangerous alpha shifters who have powers from the Wolf Gods, and I’m the reject who broke their hearts, tore out the bond between us, and left them alone.

Every moment I spend with them is dangerous…
They don’t know the monster lurking under my skin, begging to come out to play.

If they keep pushing…it won’t be stopped.
Then there will be nothing left.

Starlight Mates is a dark romantasy with men who growl more than speak. You can expect tropes like— Who did this to you?, touch her and die, rejected mates, forced proximity and whychoose?

What a cliff hanger. She is so powerful but they want her. Others just want to harm her. Fine story to read

  2. Kindle Customer

I devoured it, my heart bled for the FMC and I felt every bit she has gone through. I can’t wait for book 2 and will be waiting in anticipation

Ohhhh the cliff I just dove off was UNEXPECTED. I loved every moment of this book. I demolished it in a few hours. The plot was amazing for a short read and had me guessing the whole way through. It is an amazing take on shifters with an Academy like setting and why choose (5 mates).Gwen is our tough as nails fmc, but can’t show it and is hidding a dark secret. When she is found after five years on the run we get all our favourite tropes thrown into one book. With forced proximity, touch her & d*e and of course why choose. G Bailey brings this unique world to life and keeps you on the edge of your seat and wanting more.I am already hanging out for book 2.

    really good
I enjoyed reading this book, the characters are well written. The ending is in the range i was expecting, i would have liked it to be a little unpredictable but overall a good book, can’t wait for the next one.

    Starlight Mates
I feel like the ending just cut off. Was a good story though and I’ll read the next book but that ending is why I gave it 4 stars.

Fantastic start to a new series!
I could not put this book down. It sucks you in. It leaves you guessing the entire book. Most of the mates are complete alphaholes, and I’m hoping they redeem themselves. Can’t wait for the next one.

    it was okay
It was okay but I kind of hated the heroine. I also was getting whiplash from all the characters. One second the mfc is like “I have to keep them at a distance” and the very next she’s kissing them and it’s a lot of back and forth. The male characters are the same, one second they hate her and the next they don’t. I feel like there was so much potential with the book but it just lacked character development. Plus probably my own fault and misunderstanding but I was expecting spicy scenes and there were none. I say it was okay though because I enjoyed the premise and it wasn’t bad enough to deter me from looking forward to the next book but I probably wouldn’t start any new series by this author.

    wishing for book 2 already!!
Ughhh I had mixed feelings about reading this before book 2 came out. I wish it was i it already. I binged this in an afternoon. It was so good. I really enjoyed the characters. Gwen kind of got annoying with her woe is me etc.. but I know it was part of the story of no one being able to know what she is. I really enjoyed this book. I hope Hollis does some major groveling in the second book. Cause I wanna kick him in the junk. Lol

    Fun and Interesting
I knew this was going to be a good book. It was well written with an interesting story and characters. I wish it progressed a little bit more. Sometimes with books where there a deep dark secret the author likes to drag it out for as long as possible to force you into reading the series for as long as possible but I think this wasn’t too bad for the first book of the series, revealed some but still keeping some mystery and unsolved questions. Left on a tiny cliffhanger but not too bad.

    Mixed Feelings
3.5 ⭐️ (rounded up to 4 because the second half was much better than the first)0.5 🌶️ FMC gets a few odd kisses here and there but there’s no spice (yet, I think it’s coming)Okay so the whole first half of the book was really confusing and I swear every other page I was saying “wtf is a nexus?” I feel like there were some big gaps in the background information.Gwen is a badâss FCM (which I love) but spends most of the book pretending to be weak to hide her power from her mates. There is some heavy bulling from some of her mates and some OWD too. It started to get really good about halfway through and now I really want to know what happens next. The ending is a pretty big cliffhanger and the next book isn’t out for a couple months but I will definitely continue the series!

    Love it
Omg I love a good rejected mate, why choose story and this book was absolutely amazing. Gwen has rejected her mates and now is on the run. Gwen is never safe and has been put there hell. Gwen whole world changes again when she comes face to face with her mates again. Onyx, Hollis, Finnegan, Alex and Rhodes hates Gwen with a passion well maybe not all hate her but some of her mates what her to feel the pain they did when she rejected them. But when Vian, there enemy targets Gwen will that hate turn into something else? I really enjoyed this story and how it ended I need, no want the next book asap. Another amazing read with characters I definitely want more of.
