Since the accident, Jade’s world has become so loud.

Something’s wrong. The voices of hundreds of souls echo loudly inside her head.

The doctors, the administrators, and even those closest to her are convinced she has a condition. They say she needs to be under the care of the authorities.

Nobody listens to her. Nobody believes her.

She has no choice but to run.

Her once-predictable life is in tatters. All she knows is chaos and fear. They’ll catch her soon. She has nowhere to go.

Until she encounters a stranger in her dreams.

Not just any stranger, but an alien. A Kordolian. Silver-and-dark. Honed like a weapon. So obviously dangerous. One of the very beings that threatens the future of the entire human species.

Or so she’s been told.

But what if salvation comes in the most unexpected form?

Loved this book, it snuck up on me and had been on the market for a little while before I knew it was there. Binged it this weekend. Utterly intoxicating and immersing. I am going to read the whole set from the beginning again. Thank you so much.

I did not expect a silent one would be the hero of this last book of the dark star series. The horned and tailed kardolean should be in my opinion. But then the story unraveled. Suspense, incomprehensible artefacts and instruments, the ancient and mostly destroyed empire fighting to restore the old order, and love immersed.A logical idea that, if space could be folded, time could be folded too was crucial to end the remaing flards of the empire once and for all.I had to read the chapter twice where tarak en dragek went back in time, even think it through before comprehending what happened. The author does not tell you!As always this book is very well written, even I (being dutch) can appreciate. The only thing I do not like in this book: the horned and tailed one is captured, the other familymember still out there. The start of a new series?

I loved every single book so far, and I think this one is such a beautiful conclusion (I think that’s what it is 😉) and I loved every page of it. And I believe the world could use Kordolians for real … 😉

I love all of these Darkstar and Kordolian novels. Sci-Fi adventures, with lots of action, hijinks and romcom. Fast paced, entertaining read.

I’m sure I’ll devour the next one as soon as it comes out too though seriously not sure how she’ll top this one! 😉Seriously if you haven’t read this series yet, you need to start it! I’ll probably be reading it all again soon, it’s just that good!!

    A Masterpiece!
I’ve been a fan of Ms. Carven for a period, but now I’m a superfan!I have always been fascinated by the “Silent Ones”. Ashrael’s story was impressive, but Dragek and Jade’s story is even more fascinating and spellbinding and draws you in from the first page. Tarak is magnificent as ever, yet enigmatic. All in all, a magnificent addition to the KordolianEpic! A must read.

    Plot is good, but…
This final novel doesn’t have the verve and excitement that the previous ones had. The plot itself is fine – I really didn’t expect time travel. But a good part of the writing is both of the couple moaning about how they miss each other and need the other to be functional, and this gets quite repetitive. The book is padded out with this drivel and it makes a long slog to read. The sex scenes are somewhat tepid – well, admittedly, the scenes in most of the series are somewhat tepid. The author makes the books compelling even without much steam and spice.I would have liked to have more attention on the captive females and offspring, but there was no focus on them at all. And no focus on the fate of the heroine’s loser husband, so no revenge, which isn’t very Kordolian.

    Very excellent
I don’t know if this is the end of this series. If it is, it’s a good ending. It covered the bases adequately enough and answered most of the questions concerning Earth’s continued existence. But if it isn’t, what’s next? The big bad has been contained. The portals the Zor created through time and space are permanently closed. Tarak is more devious than I would have believed. And the Kordolians’ human mates are in charge of Earth’s governance now.And yet, I want more. More of Tarak and Abbey. More of the First Division and their fellow warriors. More of these amazing women. And just more of this world in general. What will happen to Amun Kalizikian? Or his secret sister? Or the other Silent Ones who have been so brutally trained? There’s more to this series than the ending we got. Much more. And I want to see it all.Thank you Anna Carven for this amazing thrill ride. I never want it to end.

    4&12 terrific🌟’s for The Edge of Dawn🔥💖🌟
This was and excellent story in the universe of the Kordolian ‘s.This series has been one that I’ve loved from the very first book. Each with a deadly fierce alien warrior who only finds his heart with a human female who is intelligent and fierce as well. This was no different Dragek is a Silent One a true assassin one highly skilled but very volatile. He can’t believe that Tarek the big bad of all Kordolians was taking a chance on him. Do to his training he learned deep Meditation while practicing he pulled into a human females dreams and his life is never the same. Jade, on the run from her family because they think she is sick and needs treatment. They don’t understand that since she had an accident her mind has changed and she can hear peoples thoughts and see into their minds. In one such dream she meets a gorgeous and deadly Kordolian Dragek and he becomes her savior. Their journey takes them deep into the outer reaches of the universe both on the mental and physical level. Jade must learn to harness her power and use it well and Dragek must learn to trust I love for that will be the only thing that will save him. I like the story between them it reminded me two toy of Noa’s story. But if this was the last in the series it felt a bit anticlimactic and the ending felt a bit rushed. Otherwise it was a great story. I hope Anna Carven will revisit this universe again because I will miss my Kordolian warriors greatly. Worth reading💖🌟🔥💖🔥🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥💖💖🔥💖💖🌟🔥🌟🔥🌟💖🌟!

    Worth Every Penny!
If you love Laurann Dohner’s Cyborg and Species books, Christine Feehan’s Carpathian series and A.G. Wilde’s abduction series, then you’ll love Anna Carven. In fact, Anna’s books are even more fun in some respects, because she has reoccurring characters that appear consistently in each book, which truly enriches and enhances the ongoing larger story that she has built around the lethal Kordolians and the Earth women they love. In particular, we get Tarak (the main hero of the first book throughout the entire series of books based on the Kordolians) and moreover Tarak’s love story was told in multiple books, allowing for more character development and a deeper dive into his home life after “getting the Earth girl”. This serial type of romance about a character is absolutely fantastic, particularly when so many times a character you love is reduced to one book, or if not, it’s just as a “mention” in other books or as a quick “walk-in” that doesn’t really add to the overall world-building and storyline. So, if you love old serial TV shows like Farscape, then you’ll love Anna’s Dark Planet Warriors and Darkstar Mercenaries series. I’m not sure why reviewer Nessa Z thinks this is the last story about the Kordolians? So, I’d recommend disregarding her comment about that at this time. No disrespect intended to Nessa at all, but my understanding is that Anna isn’t done with the Kordolians, and if so, she truly cares about her readers and would definitely wrap up plot points like the sister that Tarak and the First Division now need to go and rescue before calling it a day on the Kordolians. I think Nessa believes that this may be the last book because Anna (at one point) thought she would be wrapping up Tarak’s story. But Tarak is a clever, and cunning character and I don’t think he feels his story is quite done yet. Or at least, Anna doesn’t, because the remnants of the old Empire are still out there and want to control and subjugate Earth, and Tarak is determined to protect Earth and its people. Also, and I think the Silent One Division that is mentioned in this book is foreshadowing. Yes, I think that’s where Anna maybe headed for another series in the Kordolian saga. In short, not an ending but a beginning of a new series similar to what she did with Dark Planet Warriors and the spin-off Darkstar Mercenaries, which are interconnected. And of course, who are they going to report to – Tarak. So, I think there is far more Kordolian machinations and romance in the future. I mean, we still have Zharek’s story to be told, which Anna has assured us fans that she is definitely going to write. So, if thinking this is the last book about the Kordolians is a concern and might make you hesitant to buy or more critical of this particular installment within the series, don’t be concerned. We certainly haven’t seen the last of our infernal Kordolians. Now, to this latest story, it’s just terrific and it will leave you practically salivating for more. I won’t spoil the fun by going into detail about this story of a freed and reformed Silent One and his Earth love interest, but just know you’re in for a fun and fabulous read! Enjoy!
