Dark magic courses through Zarya’s veins—magic that could save countless lives… or doom her world.
Shattered by Rabin’s betrayal, Zarya vows to leave all thoughts of him behind. In the dangerous city of Ishaan, she joins an ancient struggle for freedom.
Ishaan is a city of violent contrasts. Nobles and scholars live in golden luxury. But thousands of vanshaj workers are born into magical slavery—in punishment for a crime forgotten centuries ago.
Zarya is outraged, and certain that the fate of the vanshaj is linked to her own forbidden magic. She joins a band of rebels battling for their freedom, and with Yasen at her side she throws herself into the fight.
On a deadly raid, Zarya uncovers the key to freeing the vanshaj for ever. But to use it, she must harness a power that could tear her apart.
Only one person can give Zarya the strength to reach her destiny. The one who ignited her magic. Who brings her more pleasure and more pain than any other. The last person she wants to see right now. Rabin.

3.5 Stars – Full of More Adventure
**3.5 STARS**Content Warning: violenceThis is book three in The Nightfire Quartet and here are my thoughts:Likes:+ Zarya and her bestie Yasen are back and bringing the humor. I love their friendship and love that they would still follow each other anywhere even if Zarya has her Rabin.+ Zarya is in a new city and helping a rebellion so itâs a new adventure for her. She gets a glimpse and some interaction with her half-siblings and itâs not the kind of reunion she was expecting. Sheâs also working on her powers to break the tattoo collars on the people who have them. I did like that they were somewhere new and we get to meet new characters.+ The romance was rocky at the end of book two and so Rabin and Zarya needed to try again to make things work. Thing is Rabin has to get past her defenses and make it up to her. He is patient with her and they do have a few spicy scenes but Iâm worried that her father will test their new found bond again. It does seem like this time they have really let each other in and they took steps to solidify their bond as best as they can but I am still suspicious about her dad and I question Rabinâs loyalty to him.Dislikes:~ This one might have been a tad bit too long. Zarya spends a lot of time trying to work on her magic and trying to break the tattoo collars and for the first few time itâs interesting but it got repetitive.~ There were times I thought Zarya was just so naive about things and wish she had a little more growth. My Final Thoughts:I thought this was a good third book and I canât wait to see how it ends.

I loved this so much
I wish I could give this book more stars than 5! Thank you Second Sky books for gifting me an ARC.This book was a perfect lead up to a finale. It was so well written and entertaining and had me on the edge of my seat while still building up to that conclusion that is going to come with book 4.Storm of Ink and Blood was one of my most anticipated reads of the year and it did not disappoint. The tension and the chemistry between these characters is unmatched and I am invested in every singe character in this book. This is book three in the Nightfire quartet and every book in this series gets better and better.Zarya is one of my favorite FMCs that I’ve read. In this book she grows even more and really starts to come into her power. Her character development in this book has me so excited to see what is going to happen in book 4! Yassen is still one of my favorite characters from any story ever and still steals the spotlight in every scene he is in. We get a lot from the characters we already know and love in this story, but Nisha was able to seamlessly add in a bunch of new characters that were are so well written and fit into this story beautifully (Miraan, Ajay are so much fun and I am invested).I loved learning more about Rabin and getting an insight into his life prior to this story starting. I am really curious to see what is going to happen with him. This book was full of twists and turns and was honestly the best addition to this series. I am so excited for the fourth and final book in this series.

I need book 4 now!
There is something about Nisha J. Tuliâs Nightfire Quartet that has me tangled in its grip in the best way possible. Donât get me wrong. I enjoy The Artifacts of Ouranos series too. However, The Nightfire Quartet just hits different for me and I love it. ðStorm of Ink and Blood is the third installment in the quartet, and if Iâm being honest, is different from the previous two books. As readers, we get to experience a brand new locations, we meet new characters, we read about a new mission, and we get to witness the origin story of a new nemesis. ðAlthough some major changes occur in the pages, the heart of the story remains the same. Zarya is still a strong FMC with a huge heart that you donât dare mess with. Everyoneâs favorite sidekick, Yasen, is still quick witted and will put everything on the line to protect those he loves. Rabin is still a smoke show dragon shifter thatâs tough as nails, except when it comes to Zarya. â¤ï¸ In short, I loved every page and simply could not put the book down in order to âadultâ. ð¤£The end of Storm of Ink and Blood sets things up flawlessly for the fourth installment. Confession: I might have yelled âFINALLY!â when it all went down ð. Although it is a cliffhanger, Iâll forgive Nisha J. Tuli because Iâve been waiting for three books to see how this particular storyline plays out. To say Iâm anxiously anticipating the next book is an understatement! In the pages, you will find:ðª A strong FMCð¤Found family2ï¸â£ A second best friend as a sidekick (IYKYK)ð A dragon shifterâ¤ï¸Romanceð¥Spiceðºï¸New locations to exploreðªComplicated family dynamicsðAn amazing 3rd installment that will have you begging for book 4!âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸/5

Burning for more
This latest installment was so good! I loved the expansion of the world to new places and new characters.Zarya is still learning and growing, especially with her forbidden powers. Will she forgive Rabin for his betrayal?
