An all night read
Yup, Burnett’s latest showed up on my Kindle yesterday. I read until my eyes wouldn’t cooperate, then finished it early this morning. Thebworld.she creates for her protagonist Caitlyn Reed and her Belgian Mallinois, partner Renegade is a delightful one, from Reed’s career issues to her husband Colt’s work,as Sheriff, his ex, their son, a serial killer, missing persons,.search and rescue missions, parents and family members and more.If any of those.elements appeal then the whole series ought to be in your collection. You could easily start here – one of Ms. Burnett’s strength as a.series writer is that she doesn’t spend half.of her latest works filling in backstory – she moves ahead. Got.my order in for the next volume already!

A thrilling adventure and mystery
Caitlyn Reed is invited to join an elite law enforcement task force operating out of San Diego, which turns out to involve grueling and dangerous work trying to stem the flow of illegal drugs over the border from Mexico into the US. Meanwhile, her husband, Colt, the Sheriff of Moose Creek, is caught up in an investigation into a missing teenage girl, who seems to have vanished from the face of the earth. While both Caitlyn and Colt are facing challenges at work, their marriage is facing challenges too as Colt is hurt that Caitlyn is pursuing a job that would require her to live in Southern California. There are nail-biting adventures for both and the mystery of the missing girl to solve, and the ongoing shenanigans by Allison, the mother of Coltâs son Jace. Highly recommended.

Great thriller! Couldn’t put it down!
Another excellent book in the Tin Star K9 Series. While I highly recommend reading the entire series, this is also a great stand alone book. It’s a thrill ride as Caitlin interviews and deciphers if she wants to take a position with the US Marshals SOG unit. Will she qualify? If she does, will she take the job and move and leave her husband and family behind? Can Colt keep the town safe and keep his ex at bay while she tries to wreak havoc on his relationship with Caitlin. There is so much to unpack. The character development is great. If you read the series, you will watch these characters grow and evolve in a very relatable way. I love the book and the whole series! I was given an advance copy and chose to provide my own review.
