Perfection!
I loved this book so much!Joe and Mabel are so good together. The love they have for each other even though they donât want to admit it. Seeing how loving hearted Joe was and his soft side. He would do anything for Mabel.Mabel was so cute and she gave him space. She wasnât over bearing.I loved the surprise pregnancy and Melanie know ls exactly how to write it perfectly.I loved seeing the Lupo and Buckley family.

Melanie Harlowâs Slap Shot Surprise, a steamy small-town hockey romance, is the fifth and final installation in her Cherry Tree Harbor series. A wonderful blend of heartfelt emotion and sizzling chemistry, this romance takes off on a mile-high meet-cute. This story centers on Joe, the totally swoony professional hockey player, and Mabel, the sweet yet awkward nervous flyer, and their romance had me hooked from cover-to-cover. I loved watching their unexpected connection grow stronger, and the surprise baby twist added layers of emotion and tenderness.Harlow’s storytelling style was perfect! An engaging and charming mix of heat, heart and humor set against a hockey backdrop, I couldnât help but root for this irresistible couple. Slap Shot Surprise is a fantastic read. I loved this one so much. I could not got enough of Mabel and Joe. Mabel is adorably awkward. Joe is a sweetheart. I love the instant connection from the start. I love how they build their relationship. This is a surprise pregnancy that will put a smile on your face all the way through. I could not put this down. Joe and Mabel are so lovely together. This is my favorite couple yet in the Cherry Tree Harbor series. You need to meet Mabel and Joe now.

Wow! What an amazing book. I fell in love with both Mabel and Joe at first sight.I loved the chance encounter, and how Joe helped Mabel with her fear of flying.Mable has the most amazing personality, and I love her quirky nature and her love for her family.Joe was done with all things relationships, and planned on a one night only. One thing led to another, and they couldnât deny their instant connection and attention to each other. I loved how supportive Joe was of Mabel all the time. He really took care of her and the baby to the best of his abilities ð©·I love the sense of belonging and respect throughout this book. They both have a big heart for their families, and only want the best for them.Mabelâs friend and sister in law Ari is amazing, and the love and support Mable got from her brothers was great.And letâs talk a both the spice 𥵠it was hot! The most beautiful and bittersweet ending to this series
Ohmygah! What a beautiful, bittersweet ending to this fabulous seriesâ¦cue full on ugly crying because I loved this book. It was soooooo good! Absolutely delightful. This was such a sweet, sexy romance that felt decadent and swoony and the perfect amount of emotional.I was hooked on Mabel and Joeâs story from their fun and hilarious meet-cute. It opened with the kind of magnetic chemistry that literally made me clear my schedule and dive in for a full day of reading. I loved that immediate connection, and it kicked off a great unexpected pregnancy romance. Their banter was the exact sort of snappy, smart, laced-with-heat kind that I’m a sucker for, every single time. Their chemistry was fired up immediately and I was on board, every step of the way.I loved the way that Mabel and Joe’s romance blossomed. I loved how they adjusted the speed of things to suit their needs (even when it kind of broke my heart). I simply loved their aching tenderness and their honest communication and their sweet sweet adoration of each other. It was a bittersweet journey with the most fitting epic ending. It was emotional and heartaching and heartwarmingâ¦so many feels! And being reunited with the Lupo family was such a pleasure. I just love them.My heart fluttered and was filled to bursting over this sweetly satisfying story. I absolutely loved it. This whole thing. It’s the whole package and it was absolutely fantastic.

Great end to series
The final book of the Cherry Tree Harbor series and my favorite! Such a great ending. I took my time reading it because I didnât want it to end.Mabel Buckley is returning home. A job awaits her as a museum curator. Joe Lupo, yes Lupo as in Nick & Cocoâs son and Gianniâs brother, is a professional hockey player in Chicago. Joe doesnât want to get married or have kids. His goal is hockey and the Stanley Cup. Joe is heading near his hometown for a wedding. He is seated next to a very nervous Mabel on the plane. When turbulence hits Mabel babbles about all the things sheâll be missing when they crash including love, family and a one night stand with a hot guy or good sex. Joe tells her he can take care of the last one. He talks her down until the plane lands and they part. Neither can stop thinking about each other. Her more out of embarrassment. They find themselves together again when they are at the same wedding. Sparks fly. They agree to have that hot one night stand. Mabel finds out sheâs pregnant and tells Joe. He wants to be involved but he can to a point with his career.They skate close to the line. Mabel falls and distances herself when she realizes Joe canât be her one. I loved these characters and the road they took to find their HEA. Seeing Nick and Coco guiding their son and loving their grandchild as well as the Buckley family. The strength Mabel gained. The growth of the character of Joe before my eyes made my heart swell. I cried, laughed and swooned. It was perfection.
