PSVR2 PC Adaptor works on Laptop
I had been using my PSVR 2 with the PS5 and wanted to expand my options onto the PC. Im using a Asus ROG Flow X16 laptop, with an Intel i9-13900H and RTX 4060 Graphics card. Also got the TPLink UB500 bluetooth usb adaptor for the controllers, which took about 5-10 mins to set up.I had to get a displayport 1.4 to USB-C cable which plugs into the usbc port within the XG mobile port as the socket is not a standard displayport 1.4. Download Steam VR and PSVR2 app on Steam. Run through the set up as you would on the playstation.First played Half Life-Alyx VR. It runs smoothly and looks amazing. Have had no issues with slow down or crashes. The only thing Ive noticed is the left controller occasionally loses tracking for a couple of seconds then, otherwise its very responsive. I would recommend changing the refresh rate to 120hz asap as its set to 90hz by default, which you will need to restart the apps when prompted. This has saved me loads of money not having to pay for another headset when I already have a perfectly capable one.If your like me and dont have a standard displayport 1.4 socket on your PC/Laptop, just check that your USB C socket is capable of displayport 1.4 output.
