In the first book of the Wild Flowers trilogy, we follow Laurie, an undecided college student grappling with the complexities of love and desire. In her early twenties, that phase where everything seems possible and nothing is out of reach, Laurie finds herself entangled in a web of emotions surrounding her best friend and roommate, Dylan.

Laurie harbors deep, not-so-secret feelings for Dylan, a situation that is only complicated by the reappearance of his long-time girlfriend, Sam. Laurie spends most of her time avoiding Sam and plotting how to make Dylan break up with her, as she deems the girl unworthy of her best friend’s commitment. However, as the layers of her animosity toward Sam begin to unravel, Laurie is forced to confront her true feelings, realizing that her disdain may be a mask for a deeper, more forbidden attraction.

As Laurie’s internal struggle intensifies, she must reconcile her burgeoning desires with the societal norms and expectations that threaten to keep her true self hidden. With passion and tension simmering beneath the surface, Party Trick explores the complexities of friendship, loyalty, and the undeniable pull of forbidden love in a journey that will leave readers eagerly anticipating the next installment.

    Must read!
I went into this book blind, and I am so happy I did. It all begins with a kiss then this story had me hooked with a few twists and an endless reading night filled with Dylan, Laurie and Sam. I loved that I just devoured this story, and I was so sad it ended the way it did because I still need more. You know a book is good when it lives rent free in your brain until the next book comes out. I highly recommend reading this story especially if you love a story that gives you so many emotions and surprises.

    Steamy and heartwarming
For some reason I waited a very long time to read the ARC I received of this book. Once I started reading, I could not stop, the book was that addicting. I was quite surprised I could be so into a book about the relationship of three college students but the whole book is so intense and hot and the sexual tension between Laurie and Sam is out of this world. I really hope we will be able to see more of them in the next book since this book ends with a cliffhanger.I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

    Many loves
Laurie and Dylan share an apartment, while Dylan has a girlfriend named Sam. The plot centers on the dynamics between Laurie, Dylan, and Sam. Please note, there are sexual situations. The story starts with a kiss and escalates to much more. I recommend this book to readers who enjoy romance with a twist. Laurie’s love journey
It’s not her, I repeat to myself. This is just a crush, I’m just attracted to her, I’m just…It can’t be her. It can’t be two people at the same time. ——This is book 1 of the Wild Flowers trilogy. This book is not a standalone.—–I devoured this book. The drama, the spice, the angst, the uncertainty; I was here for it. There was something in the way the romance was portrayed that felt realistic. It showed how confusing, messy, sweet, unexpected and uncertain love be. Especially between three people who all have feelings for each. I enjoyed Laurie’s connection with Dylan. I thought they had good chemistry, as friends and lovers. And I loved how they communicated what they liked in the b€droom. I adored Laurie’s connection with Sam. I found Sam to be cute and intriguing. I wish we had more scenes between them. I wasn’t a fan of the ending though. Overall, I enjoyed this book and will read the next book of the trilogy. I’m invested in the romance.I received an advance review copy, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Didn’t know what I was getting into… in a good way!
I definitely did not know what I was getting myself into when I started this book, but I was pleased with every turn of the page. There is a plot, but this book is heavily character driven. I found the characters to be well developed for the most part, but there is definitely so much more to learn about them in future books. I’d say the actual worse part was the cliff-hanger ending. To the point I almost threw my phone. There was so much spice and chemistry between the main characters, and the side characters were also interesting. As a reader, I was left with so much intrigue on what’s going to happen next as well as several unanswered questions that had been teased throughout the book. I can definitely see myself reading the next one, and I really enjoyed Luana’s writing style. An unexpected 5/5.I received an advance review copy of Party Trick for free. All opinions are my own, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
