   Great toner pads from Mediheal
   Mediheal is well known for their toner pads and the tea tree one is my favorite. I was excited to try the madecassoside toner pads since it contains centella asiatica, a great ingredient for calming redness, irritation, and dry skin. Toner pads are super popular in Korean skincare and can double as a quick sheet mask. These pads have a very light fragrance and did not irritate my skin. I use these day and night before my serums and moisturizers. Not to mention this Disney Pixar kit is super kit with a refill pack and a travel bag! This would be a great gift for someone who enjoys Disney and quality skincare.

   Love these square toner pads!
   Just to get things out of the way, I expected the freebie pouch to be kind of useless but it’s actually very cute and handy! The material feels like those down puffer jackets, surprisingly pleasant, I used it to make a little emergency acne kit.The toner pads are great, they have a very light and fresh smell to them. Full face sheet masks can be a hassle so I like taking three of these and sticking them where needed, the square shape makes them easy to place in the t-zone. They’re very thin and hold enough enough toner for one application.I use these before bed time, they’re moisturizing in the moment but still need a moisturizer afterwards to seal in the goodness. The packaging and products are both great, I recommend giving them a try if you have combo skin like me.

   Great toning pads
   I really like toning pads for their ease and convenience. These Mediheal pads are nice ones. The main tub comes with a tweezer that fits into the lid to help get the pads out and for it to be more sanitary. The toner itself has a nice smell that doesn’t linger, and it’s a watery type toner that absorbs after a minute or two and doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry or tight. The ingredients are great, as they are woth most Mediheal products.What’s nice about this in particular is that it comes with a refill. It also comes with a small bag that I thought was to put the pads in, but it doesn’t fit the main box, just the refill. So it’s either to hold your refill tub, or just a cute, small pouch for makeup or whatever. I’ll probably give it to my kid.

   Some nice ingredients, great value
   When I saw these Collagen Facial Toner Pads in the Disney Pixar Edition by Mediheal I was a bit confused at first, wondering what Disney has to do with K-Beauty. In the end it didn’t matter because Mediheal is an established, well-known S Korean brand and I needed collagen pads.These pads include a dispenser box with flip top, tweezers, and a package of 100 pads inside it. In addition to that there is a refill package with another hundred pads and a small, but adorable makeup bag. The pad dispenser box will not fit in the makeup bag, so I guess it can be used for whatever one likes, but it’s a mystery to me why it is so padded inside…Any-hoo, these are nice toner pads for many reasons. They are made of fabric and well saturated, so for using them as a facial mask they have excellent adhesion. The pads are square and much larger than the usual round pads. There is a ton of essence in the container, so plenty will be left over to add to sheet masks if it is saved.What’s most important about these masks are the ingredients, of course. They contain plenty of skin loving components that will soothe, hydrate, strengthen the moisture barrier, plump up and promote elasticity in the skin. This all is due to ingredients like betaine, collagen extract, adenosine, ceramide np, peptides and several helpful botanical extracts.What’s just as important, for me anyway, is what they don’t contain. These pads have no fragrance added, no parabens, No PEGs or any other ingredients that can be potentially harmful to humans.The environment is another matter. These pads do contain silicones and acrylates. Silicones will form a seal on the skin which helps to keep in moisture, but they can also keep undesirable things like excess sebum and bacteria from escaping. I have two issues with silicone being in a toner. First off I worry that everything I put on my skin after the toner will not be properly/fully absorbed. Secondly, silicones in high concentrations will make my skin breakout. This formulation has dimethicone as the fifth ingredient, so I will not be using these pads.Lastly, silicones are poorly biodegradable and not environmentally friendly. Acrylates almost always contain microplastics. Another component that is poorly biodegradable, and I really don’t like to put microplastics on my face.Other than those two ingredients, these toner pads are a good formulation and an excellent value at $39.90 for 200 pads and a cute makeup bag. Even though I can’t use them I would still recommend them.

   Effective moisturization
   My partner and I both tried these toner pads; our evaluation:I have sensitive skin, and I haven’t had any negative reactions. We agree that the smell is just a bit strong. My partner was reminded of the smell of medicated acne wipes. Not too much of a concern though, because after the solution dries, the odor doesn’t linger for very long. We also agreed that, when applied at night, it has excellent moisturizing effects, resulting in smooth, soft skin the next morning. I haven’t used this product long enough to evaluate its ability to reduce dark spots. There is plenty of liquid in the container, so I have no concern that the pads will dry up before they’re all used. Nearly all the information on the box is in Korean, so some details aren’t clear. I used a camera translation function, and it seems that the info indicates that the pads are 100% cotton gauze. The box doesn’t really fit inside the pouch, but checking the translation, it says that it’s “free”, so I think it’s just intended as a cute bonus, not as a holder for the product. The ingredients are listed in English. The tweezers snap into a slot on the inside of the top of the box; very handy for picking up a single pad. I am very pleased with my choice; thumbs up!
