Comfortable in handheld, ok feeling buttons
The controller certainly adds a good amount of comfort for playing longer in hand-held mode. Inserting a switch into the controller was easy enough, but you need to make sure that the USB is really lined up properly to slide into place and not put stress on the port.The clear body looks great, and the LED lighting within gives it a nice look. Thumbsticks feel great to use with no dead-zones or drifting. The thumbstick direction does not snap to axis which is great.The ABYX buttons feel just OK. The back buttons work well and are in a good position. The bumpers are good, but the triggers are just OK feeling. The D-pad is good for the up/down/left/right, but diagonals are very difficult to hit. Hitting most buttons, there is a hollow sound that can come from the controller.The vibration is on the light side but can certainly be felt without being loud.Few negatives, one being that the controller pairing may take a few moments to get the controller to be recognized. It does not always immediately detect that there is a controller connected, so sometimes takes holding the home button on the controller to get it working. Once it is working, I didn’t have any issues with disconnects.The other being that the switch system is only held in by friction, there is no latches or bands to prevent the switch from slipping out. While its held in place well and won’t easily slip out, it seems like if anything wears down over time it may become an issue.Overall, the controller feels good to hold in the hand and provides more comfort than using joycons. It does work and is a functional controller, even if the buttons and triggers have a 3rd party type feel to them. It did make 2-player on-the-go easier as my friend could see the screen much easier as my hands were further out of the way. I really wish that there was something physical that would prevent the switch from ever coming out.

I have been thoroughly impressed with this Nintendo Switch controller from every perspective. It come in some good looking,professional packaging and arrived in perfect condition. Right away I was saying to myself not only does this controller look super cool having a transparent shell but it is also very comfortable to hold for lengthy periods of time. Since this controller is see-through its automatically cool looking but it also has lights which then makes it super cool. Getting this controller to pair with my Switch console was straightforward and took just a few seconds. The controller doesn’t use batteries to power it as it uses the Switch console for power. I don’t have a problem with that as its advertised to do so. Plus when a controller is powered that way it keeps the cost lower. Overall, it’s a quality controller that looks really cool and performs as it should. 5âââââ

A nice alternative to the switch controllers
I got to admit I don’t really like the controllers that came with my Nintendo switch. So I’ve been looking for an alternative since I’m kind of late to the game with getting into the switch world. I saw this and I thought first I like the look of it more than anything so even though there’s hundreds of these to choose from this particular model was attractive to me. I guess I’m just a sucker for fancy RGB lights. So I did get this and I tested it out and I’ve got to say that it worked exactly as expected. It’s amazing that this is actually way less than buying another original set of joycons which again shows how Nintendo is a bit tone deaf in this environment. It will connected right away and had no problems and it’s comfortable to hold although it is bulkier than playing with the joycon. So this is something that I would use at home more than using to travel with. That being said I think this is a pretty good product that came to me and work as expected so I’m giving it a positive review.

Switch to Steam Deck
Was skeptical about the product ordering it but everything worked great out of the box. Has a similar feeling to steam deck, definitely a better fit if your hands are bigger. Joysticks are closer to an Xbox which I’m not really a fan of the switches joy cons so definitely recommend.

Sometimes difficult to “turn on” but solid craftsmanship once it does
Like other reviews stated, it can be difficult for the Switch console to recognize this controller. I’ve found that spamming the light button in the bottom right and the vibrate buttons in the back at the same time will get the Switch to recognize it eventually. At first I thought it didn’t work at all / was a scam but it is a legit controller with great craftsmanship once you get it working.The buttons and joysticks are sound and feel very polished. I don’t use the extra functionalities such as the vibrate, light and turbo features but they seem to work well if that’s your thing.One point of clarification on the tech specs. The controller claims it is “wired” on the box. At first I thought this means it must be plugged into the USB Type C port to work. This is not the case–it is wireless. What I assume they mean be “wired” is that it must be plugged into the console (which makes sense because it effectively replaces the joy cons it comes with). If anything this is a feedback for them to clarify what they mean by “wired”.Because it relies on the console battery to be powered and it has a lot of features, it does seem like it uses slightly more battery than the original joy cons. Just a heads up on that. It doesn’t harm the experience overall and is definitely worth the tradeoff.
