   Mixed Results with a Greasy Texture
   I recently tried the Anua 10% Niacinamide + 4% Tranexamic Acid Serum, and I have mixed feelings about it.Lack of Significant Results: After using it for a while, I haven’t noticed any significant improvements in my skin. I was hoping for more visible results, especially regarding brightening and reducing uneven skin tone.Thick Consistency: The serum has a thicker consistency than I expected, which can be a bit of a downside. While I appreciate a hydrating product, this one tends to make my skin feel greasy, which isn’t ideal for my daily routine.Potential for Improvement: I believe it might work better for those with drier skin types, but for my oily skin, it didn’t quite meet my expectations.Final Thoughts: Overall, while the Anua serum has good ingredients, I haven’t seen the results I hoped for, and the thickness is a drawback for my skin type. I might explore other options before committing to this one again.

   Helped Melasma
   I have struggled with melasma for many years. I have tried several laser treatments, peels (melasma always comes back), many over-the-counter creams, and RetinA. I’ve stayed away from hydroquinone due to its questionable safety. I’ve had mild success with Lytera and Cyspera, but the Cyspera smells awful. In an attempt to clean up my skincare, I looked up some of the main ingredients used to combat melasma in the EWG database and some studies done on their effectiveness. I settled on Tranexamic acid and Arbutin as the least toxic, irritating, and relatively effective.I started using this product at night along with face oil or night cream. During the day, I used The Ordinary’s Arbutin serum sprinkled with vitamin C. I also use Herbivores ceramide serum for redness, as I get red, and an exfoliant once or twice a week (currently, Sunday Riley Good Genes). I have been using these for a while, so I don’t attribute them to improving the melasma.The picture shows about eight weeks of use. It’s been a slow and steady improvement, but these were better results than Cyspera and Lytera for much less cost.I am considering blending the 2% Arbutin with the 4%Tranexamic acid and having one solution.Melasma is tricky; it can stem from hormonal issues, pigmentation irregularities, or melanocyte dysfunction. Many products that worked well for others did not work for me. If you are in the same boat, this might be worth a try.

   Anua skincare routine is great.
   I’ve recently switched to an Anua skincare routine and I’m a big fan of every product I’ve tried so far. I use the Anua brand oil cleanser, foam cleanser, toner, serum, and moisturizer and there’s a noticeable difference in the size of my pores, my skintone has evened out, and my skin feels softer.My only complaint would be that this serum initially irritated my skin. I was using too much of it. I added in Mixsoon bean essence right before using this product though and that has helped calm everything down and now I’m loving it.

    Soothing but stickier than other niacinamide serums.
    I am almost forty years old; I don’t have dark spots, but my skin does look dull. At first, I was a bit iffy on the amount of niacinamide in the product (as it’s quite a lot), but now I definitely get the hype of the product. I originally wanted my husband to try this serum because he has dark/sunburn on his face – but when I tried it myself, I was addicted.PROS: The color of the serum is a little pink, but it goes clear. I would describe the texture as slightly oily. My skin immediately wakes up and looks plump, healthy and hydrated. The oil looks like it dries to a beautiful shine, as if you’ve just had a facial. I like to use it in the morning – but I’ve also used it in the evening. Perfect for layering – both with other night creams/serums and with day/foundation. I have yet to see a pill with this product and I’m ready to take every product I put on it to the next level. This serum has no detectable fragrance, and the texture is very lightweight. Finally, I didn’t experience any redness or irritation, which can sometimes occur with niacinamide. I highly recommend this product.CONS: Despite all that, the serum feels sticky once it is absorbed. Following it up with a light moisturizer however makes the skin feel really well-hydrated and supple even until the next morning. I think the product does it jobs but I don’t think I would recommend it for sensitive skin.
