I love cooking but have been struggling to find uses for my mixer. I am used to doing everything by hand. Fast cleanup is important to me. The meat grinder works as it should and cleanup was a breeze. At the cost of meat these days, the few ounces of meat left in the attachment itself was dissappointing. I am extremely pleased with the quality of construction. I can forsee using this attachment a great deal because I make beef pepperoni. – – – The grain mill worked well with wheat kernels but even on the finest setting I expected a little finer grind. It did however make excellent whole wheat bread with the consistancy of cake! As a chef might say, you might push the keys on a piano but that doesn’t mean you are playing it. LOL! This attachment is worth the price I paid.

Buen material y duradero, funciona muy bien, un poco ruidoso y con uso extenso tanto la batidora como el molino tienden a calentarse, pero para moliendas urgentes y de poca cantidad funciona muy bien.

Disappointing
Tldr: save yourself the money on your poor, expensive mixer and get a different mill.I gave it a shot despite the consistency in the negative reviews. I shouldn’t have. This mill makes my mixer run very hot very quickly and the documentation says to let it cool down for 45 minutes after 5 minutes of work! Very slow work with not much floir produced, I might add. That’s too long for too little for me when you bake and cook a lot.Documentation says to not grind anything oily or with moisture. What I attempted to grind had no oil or moisture. Other reviews/questions say chickpeas should be fine. They apparently are not. No, I did not use whole chickpeas. I used the tiny, dried leftovers my food processor couldn’t blast to flour. I bought this mill to save my food processor. Shouldn’t have bothered.Did it grind the chickpea bits into flour? Kind of. Static electricity from the grinding friction caked up in the mill and I had to take it apart to get anything out of it. That’s when I discovered the burrs had apparently been grinding on themselves. See the photo. The hopper wasn’t empty and I sat there babysitting it making sure the screw was constantly being fed. So the burrs shouldn’t have been grinding on themselves that hard. They’re steel, by the way, so that’s even more disappointingly impressive.I bought the protection plan but they say to contact Amazon. Amazon says to contact KitchenAid (the number they give is disconnected). KitchenAid was no help either. So I’m just returning it.

Does not grind real fine
Does not grind really fine but it’s cheap and seems to get the job done. Because it is full grain wheat and it’s not so fine it won’t raise your bread high but if you are into health it might be better for you this way grind not too fine.

white rice into fine flour for good tasting gluten free bread
I recently purchased the KitchenAid KGM All Metal Grain Mill Attachment, and I’m absolutely thrilled with its performance! As someone who follows a gluten-free diet, I was eager to try making my own flour to save money. I used it to grind white rice into fine flour, which then turned into the most delicious homemade gluten-free bread. The process was surprisingly easy, and the resulting flour that worked perfect in the bread. The all-metal construction gives me confidence in its durability and ability to handle tough grinding tasks.

Works well; built to last
I bought my KitchenAid milling attachment eight years ago and have used it to grind many pounds of wheat berries into flour. If you bake with whole grains, you’ll notice a big quality difference between freshly ground flour and what you buy in the store (presuming you start with decent wheat berries). The flavor of your bread, muffins, whatever, is superior, and when you bake yeast bread, you get better oven-spring with fresh flour. My only criticisms are that it takes a while to grind a pound of flour and the grind at the finest setting is not what I’d call extremely fine. Once the flour is ground, I always stir it well with a whisk to evenly distribute the bran.Bottom line, the resulting loaves of bread (etc.) have been delicious. If you have a KitchenAid, this is a great tool and less expensive than buying a dedicated grain mill.

Disappointed. Honest update
Update: disappointed. I was so excited to get this. Iâve had it for several months and have used it a lot. But itâs slow. Very slow compared to other ones friends have. It take about 15 minutes to get 2 cups of flour. I was just talking to a friend who says she gets 10 cups in 5 minutes from a different one. So definitely going to get something else. I no longer recommend thisI was so happy to find this attachment for my kitchen aid. It was more affordable then buying a separate machine. It works very well and grinds my wheat berries perfectly. Very easy to use. I really like that I can go from grinding and making flour to use if the mixer for making bread without getting another machine out. Very handy.

This grain mill is a game-changer for my KitchenAid!
I love being able to make my own fresh flour from wheat berries, oats, and other grains. The flavor and texture of homemade bread and baked goods is just incredible. The attachment is super easy to use. It attaches to the power hub of my KitchenAid stand mixer just like any other attachment. I can adjust the grind size from coarse to fine, depending on what I’m making. It’s really well-made and feels very sturdy. Cleanup is pretty straightforward too. I just use the included brush to get rid of any excess flour. If you’re into baking and want to take your bread to the next level, I highly recommend this grain mill attachment. It’s a bit of an investment, but totally worth it for the quality and versatility it offers.

Super easy to use and clean!
I recently purchased the KitchenAid All Metal Grain Grinder, and itâs been a fantastic addition to my kitchen. If you already own a KitchenAid stand mixer, this attachment is a must-have for anyone serious about making their own flour or grinding grains at home. The build quality is excellentâitâs made entirely of metal, so it feels incredibly sturdy and durable. Iâve used it to grind wheat, oats, and even corn, and it handles each task without any issues. The adjustable grind settings are a big plus, allowing you to customize the coarseness from cracked grains to ultra-fine flour, depending on your needs.I love the ability to grind fresh flour for my baking. Thereâs something really satisfying about knowing exactly whatâs going into your bread or muffins, and the flavor is noticeably fresher compared to store-bought flour. Itâs also great for experimenting with different grains and blends.Installation is easy, and cleanup is straightforward as well. For anyone who wants more control over their ingredients and enjoys baking or cooking with fresh grains, this is a great investment. Highly recommend it for home bakers and anyone looking to step up their kitchen game!
